Description
American Traveler is seeking a dual-certified Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with RDCS/RCS and RVT credentials and at least 2 years of experience in TTE and vascular studies for an outpatient medical pavilion setting.
Details
- Outpatient medical pavilion setting in the Echo/Cardiac Sonography department
- Daily caseload of 10–12 studies per technologist
- Cases include TTE and comprehensive vascular studies such as LEVs, LEAs, ABIs, carotids, UEAs, UEVs, and groin duplex (pseudoaneurysm)
- Monday through Thursday day shifts, approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, ~36 hours per week
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- No floating between service lines or sister facilities
- Epic EMR preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography and vascular studies required
- Dual certification required: RDCS or RCS and RVT; CCI certification also accepted
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Proficiency in TTE and vascular studies including LEVs, LEAs, ABIs, carotids, UEAs, UEVs, and groin duplex required
- SC license required if applicable
- SSN and driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront, as approval is based on facility needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- Navy blue scrubs required
- No parking cost
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
