Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Adult PACU position requiring at least 1 year of PACU experience, AHA certifications, and a day shift schedule with on-call requirements.

• Adult PACU unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (9am–9pm), 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• Includes 2 on-call shifts per 30-day schedule
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma state license or eNLC compact license) required
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
• Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of patients, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to interventions and treatments
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and communicates care plans to patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates referrals as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks total (including any extension) before requiring a 6-month separation period prior to reapplying
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — onboarding requirements including drug screening and background checks must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer
• BSN is preferred but not required
