Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (Nights) position in Arizona, requiring a minimum of 5 years of L&D, Postpartum, and Newborn experience along with AWHONN Advanced FHM certification.
Details
- 13-week travel contract in an OB/L&D unit
- Primarily 12-hour night shifts with flexibility required to cover day shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Cares for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn patients, including Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) practices with babies rooming in with mothers
- Unit averages approximately 40 vaginal deliveries and 6 C-sections per month
- May be required to serve as charge nurse on occasion following charge nurse training
- Floating to other departments may be required based on qualifications and competency
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care required
- Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) or ALSO, BLS/BCLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) — RNC-EFM may be substituted for AWHONN FHM
- STABLE certification required

- Orientation is held on Mondays only — missing the compliance deadline will result in being pushed to the following Monday's orientation
- COVID-19 vaccine is not required for this position
- This is a quick-start position
