Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 3–5 years of experience for a night shift position at an acute care community hospital in New Hampshire.
Details
- Acute care community hospital with approximately 300 beds
- Responsibilities span the ER, adult med/surg, adult critical care, and RT-driven protocol units
- Patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics; neonatal experience preferred
- Pediatric ER and pediatric unit assignments require demonstrated competency
- Procedures include nebulizer treatments, CPT, high-flow oxygen, NIV, cough assist, IPV, continuous albuterol, mechanical ventilation, in-house transport of mechanically ventilated patients, and assistance with intubations and bronchoscopy
- This position will not involve Level 3 NICU assignments
- Preferred ventilator equipment: Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, LTV 1200/HT70
- Epic EMR experience required
- Night shift: 6:15 PM – 6:45 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required; no on-call
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local pay rate
Requirements
- CRT credential required; RRT candidates require a minimum of 1 year of experience, CRT candidates require 3–5 years of experience
- NH state license required (pending license considered)
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA or Red Cross only)
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, CRTT, RRT
- Required clinical experience: airway management, medication administration, vent management, ABGs, O2 therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer, BiPAP, and CPAP
- Bronchoscopy experience preferred
- Required work setting experience: trauma, community hospital, ER, and adult ICU
- Preferred work setting experience: Level I Trauma, teaching hospital, PICU, and acute care pediatrics
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references required; candidates may be considered with one reference and a second pending
- License required if applicable

- Only AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted
