Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position at an academic medical center in St. Louis, MO, requiring 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency on night shifts.
Details
- Trauma ICU unit within a 356-bed non-profit academic medical center and tertiary care facility affiliated with a major university school of medicine
- Cares for ICU and TCU patient populations, including ED holds for ICU and TCU patients
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required; no on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to all hospital areas to cover ICU and TCU needs, including the ED
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to trauma ICU and TCU patients, including those on hold in the ED
- Located in St. Louis, MO — candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Navy scrubs required
- Free garage parking available on campus
- Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application; any additional requests after signing are at the manager's discretion
- Blocked scheduling options may be considered, including a weekend block or a 6-on/8-off schedule
