Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position in Goldsboro, NC, requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and an active NC or compact RN license.
Details
- 14-bed adult medical/cardiac unit (PCU) specializing in CHF, post-cath/pacemaker, and COPD patients
- Patient ratio of 1:6 with approximately 1–2 admissions per day
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- On-call required up to 1 shift per pay period
- 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of North Carolina or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- Current NIHSS and CPI-A certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU or progressive care nursing experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
Additional Information
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans, including discharge planning
- Two professional references required for consideration
