Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a 12-week LTC/SNF travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of experience and current BLS certification.
Details
- Work setting is a Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) with 80-85 beds
- Patient population includes residents with dementia, cardiac conditions, hospice needs, and post-acute diagnoses
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- Shift length may be 10 or 12 hours depending on hallway assignment
- Patient ratios: 15-19:1 on days/evenings; one assignment is approximately 34 with a med aide to assist; nights are 1:25-50
- Weekend requirement is every other or every third weekend depending on hallway assignment
- Holiday coverage required every other or every third holiday
- No on-call or call-back responsibilities
- Charting is done in PointClickCare (PCC)
Requirements
- Active RN license in South Dakota (SD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BSN is not required
- LTC/SNF or post-acute care experience strongly recommended given patient population and ratios
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) EMR is beneficial
Additional Information
- IVs are administered at this facility; IV competency is relevant though IV certification is not formally required
- Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility or utilizing GSS housing are subject to local pay rates
- 12-week contract assignment
