Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position at an academic medical center in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of cardiac ICU experience and proficiency with Epic EMR.

• Work in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at a major academic medical center in Ohio
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:1–2
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week on a rotating day/night or straight night schedule (3x12-hour shifts)
• Day shift hours: 7:00–19:30; Night shift hours: 19:00–7:30
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period; day shift weekends are Saturday/Sunday, night shift weekends are Friday/Saturday
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity; travelers are rotated no more than once every 4 weeks
• Epic EMR is used; experience is required
• Required skills include IV start, telemetry monitoring, mechanical ventilation, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and PA lines

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Competency with IV start, telemetry, mechanical ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines

• All time-off and scheduling requests must be communicated at the time of initial consideration
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility do not require a 30-day break between assignments to change representation (exception: Sterile Processing Techs still require a 30-day break)
