Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU Level IV position at a children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and an active TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Level IV NICU at a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center children's hospital
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
- Responsibilities include care of well babies and attending deliveries as the resuscitation nurse
- Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block schedule may be considered and can be discussed during interview
- Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may be required on a rare basis
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license — TN state license or NLC Compact license required; no pending licensure accepted
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required (strictly enforced); 3+ years preferred
- NICU Level IV experience required
- BSN preferred
- Driver's License required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- At least one completed prior travel assignment is required; first-time travelers are not accepted
- Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO submitted after an offer is made will not be considered for approval
