Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with required vascular registry certification for a 13-week travel contract performing echocardiograms and vascular studies.

Details

• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break
• Rotating weekend schedule, approximately every 4th to 5th weekend
• Call coverage required on scheduled work weekends plus 1–2 weekday call shifts per week
• Performs echocardiograms including TEE and intraoperative studies
• Performs vascular studies, though registry-eligible (non-registered) technologists may not perform vascular studies independently and must be supervised by a credentialed RVT or RVS
• Performs stress echos, TCDs, and TCOMs as applicable
• Performs EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
• Registry-eligible technologists are not eligible to cover call for vascular studies

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• ARDMS or CCI registration in Vascular Technology (RVT or RVS) required
• ARDMS or CCI registration in Echocardiography preferred
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• Assists with clerical and reception duties as needed
• Responsible for completing all documentation associated with assigned duties
• May assume supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the Registered Cardiovascular Technologist Supervisor
• Maintains continuing education requirements and keeps work areas stocked and equipment clean
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result is an automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive test
