Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with active RVT or RVS registry for a 13-week travel assignment performing vascular studies, echocardiograms, and cardiac diagnostics.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound/cardiology department specializing in vascular and echocardiography studies
• Procedures include vascular studies, echocardiograms (including TEE and intraoperative studies), stress echos, TCDs, and TCOMs
• Additional diagnostic responsibilities include EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
• 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
• Rotating weekend shifts approximately every 4th to 5th weekend
• Call required on scheduled work weekends plus 1–2 weekday call shifts per week

Requirements

• Active ARDMS or CCI registration in Vascular Technology (RVT or RVS) required
• ARDMS or CCI registration in Echocardiography preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Registry-eligible (but not yet fully registered) technologists may not perform vascular studies independently — a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist with RVT or RVS must be present to oversee the exam
• Registry-eligible technologists are not eligible to cover call for vascular studies
• In the absence of the Registered Cardiovascular Technologist Supervisor, the technologist may be expected to assume supervisory responsibilities
• Facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana — a positive result is an automatic cancellation with no exceptions, and candidates should avoid any substances that could yield a positive result, including CBD products
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
