Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Perioperative Services – Surgical Short Stay position requiring recent OR and PACU experience and active CA RN licensure.

Details

• Perioperative Services unit within a Surgical Short Stay setting
• Scope of practice includes preop, phase 2, and PACU nursing care
• Variable shift with start times of 6:00 AM or 8:00 AM
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Backup/second call only for PACU coverage
• One weekend shift required per 6-week schedule
• One weeknight shift required per week within the 6-week schedule

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association)
• Minimum 5 years of preop, phase 2, and/or PACU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care OR RN experience required
• OR experience must be recent, within the last 3 months
• Minimum 3 years of OR specialty experience required
• Active, unrestricted RN license required
• Two supervisor references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
• Date of birth and SSN required for consideration
• No prior disciplinary actions or hits on RN license

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across preop, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia phases
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days for the duration of the contract
