Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) night shift position requiring PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience and ACLS certification.
Details
- IMC (Intermediate Care/Step-Down) unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
- Every other weekend coverage required; unit directs weekend scheduling based on operational needs
- Float required to Telemetry and/or Med-Surg as needed (float units carry a 1:5 or 1:6 patient ratio)
- Bedside cardiac monitoring for up to 8 patients
- Equipment used includes ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring devices, and lift equipment
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- PCU, IMC, or Step-Down unit experience required
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are accepted
- Caribbean blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
