Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Colorado, requiring active CO or compact RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience.
Details
- Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment
- Full-time night shift schedule
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Additional certifications required (may be obtained within a defined timeframe after hire): ENPC, STABLE, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience
- 1 year of ED or critical care nursing experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing or related field preferred
- Strong prioritization, critical thinking, and decisive judgment skills required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans using the nursing process
- Collaborates with the healthcare team on patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support needs
- Provides patient and family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstance
- Delegates patient care tasks to ancillary staff; may precept student nurses and new hires
- Practice in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
