Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position specializing in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical patients, with Epic EMR experience required.

Details

• 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU (TCV ICU) within an academic medical center setting
• Patient population includes those undergoing cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures such as CABG, valve replacement/repair, heart transplantation, and lung transplantation
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required per facility float policy
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CVICU or cardiothoracic ICU nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Every other holiday coverage required
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
