Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of acute care experience and Cerner proficiency for a day-shift hospital position in California.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in an OT unit
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
- Rotating weekend shifts based on coverage needs, averaging approximately 2 weekends per month
- A corresponding weekday off is provided for each weekend shift worked
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience required, with at least 1 year in an acute care setting
- Experience in the specialty area must be within the 2 years preceding consideration
- Active CA OT license required — license required if applicable
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Must have at least one supervisory, director, or manager reference from the past year on the relevant unit; a second reference within the past 2 years from a charge nurse, co-worker, or educator is also required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers may be considered — check with your recruiter for eligibility details
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- No RTO (time off requests) permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Candidates who were previously employed at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- A pass/fail EKG exam is required (up to 3 attempts allowed)
- No blocked or self-scheduling is permitted
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
