Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric certification and experience in a facility that performs open heart surgery in children for a 13-week travel contract.
Details
- Pediatric echocardiography unit within a large academic medical center
- Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
- Staggered 8-hour day shifts (e.g., 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM); candidates must be flexible with shift start times
- 5x8-hour shifts, no weekend or on-call requirements
- May be asked to float to affiliated pediatric cardiology clinics
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech
- Experience must be from a facility that performs open heart surgery in children
- Pediatric Echo (PE) certification is required
- CCI RCS or RDCS certification required (one of the two)
- Compact or NC state license required if applicable
- All required certifications must be in hand at time of consideration
- 1 supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted, though a lower pay rate applies
- Orientations are held bi-weekly
- Flu vaccine is required between October 31 and March 31 with no exemptions accepted
- Candidates who were previously permanent employees of the Duke University Health System must disclose this in their employment history; prior permanent Duke employees within the past 6 months are not eligible
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront and are capped at 5–7 days maximum
