Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Telemetry Clinical Decision Unit position at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital in Florida, requiring PCU experience and vasoactive drip proficiency.
Details
- Position is located in the Observation/Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) of a 332-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
- Medical/telemetry patient population in an acute care setting
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Floating is required to all three affiliated hospitals (Martin North, Martin South, and Martin Tradition — all within 20 miles)
- Block scheduling is not available
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital is a Magnet-designated teaching facility
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or compact RN license — pending licenses are not accepted
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
- NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
- Minimum 18 months of telemetry or acute care RN experience required; 2 years preferred
- PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience required
- Vasoactive drip experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests added after submission will likely not be approved
- This is a smoke-free facility; all travelers must be nicotine-free with no exceptions — a negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) is required
- Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized promptly upon assignment confirmation
- White scrubs are required
- 26-week contract; length is not flexible
