Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity ICU position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Adult critically ill patient population requiring high-acuity care
• Patients require hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, titratable infusions, and invasive lines/drains
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Epic EHR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum ICU experience required; strong critical thinking and prioritization skills essential
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and assist with patient handling and emergency procedures
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and vasoactive/titratable drip titration
• Implements care bundles including sepsis, VAP, and CLABSI prevention protocols
• Administers medications and blood products with required independent double checks for high-alert medications
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and handoffs using standardized communication tools
• Provides patient and family education, advocacy, and end-of-life support as applicable
• CCRN certification preferred; experience with CRRT and post-operative critical care is a plus
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location; a minimum 6-month break is required before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
