Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week travel contract at a small critical access hospital in Hawaii, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and an active HI RN license.

Details

• Small critical access hospital with no separate units — RNs cover ER, acute, and LTC areas
• Primary assignment is the Emergency Department, with backup coverage in acute and LTC areas when the ER census is low
• When assigned to the med/floor role, RN is responsible for passing medications and performing procedures for both LTC and acute patients
• Schedule is 6x12-hour shifts per two-week period (72 hours/period) with every 3rd weekend off
• This is not a latex-free facility

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by assignment start date — candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required

Additional Information

• Upon arrival, candidates are expected to check in at Hilo Medical Center (HMC) for HR and Employee Health clearance before proceeding to the facility to complete initial paperwork and orientation
• Due to the critical access nature of the facility, flexibility to work across multiple care settings (ER, acute, LTC) is essential
