Description

American Traveler is seeking an inpatient Physical Therapist with acute care hospital experience and Epic proficiency for a 10-hour shift position in Staten Island, NY.

Details

• Acute bedside physical therapy in a hospital inpatient setting
• Supports general med/surg units and all critical care units
• Adult patient population only
• Patient load of 10–13 patients per 10-hour shift
• Possible float to a North campus location
• Preferred schedule: Friday–Monday (weekends); alternate schedules of Mon & Wed–Sat or Sun–Wed may be considered
• Shift hours: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM or 9:00 AM–7:00 PM depending on schedule
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NYS Physical Therapy license required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient acute bedside PT experience in a hospital setting
• Epic EMR experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the current discipline/specialty

Additional Information

• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
• Travelers who have previously worked at any facility within this health system will require an eligibility review prior to consideration
• Candidates who have not yet obtained their NYS PT license may still be considered if a screenshot or photo of the completed license application is provided
• Only AHA-issued certifications are accepted for BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• If any certifications are expiring during the assignment, a renewal receipt or scheduled course dates must be provided
• Travelers will be required to complete onboarding modules through the facility's learning platform prior to the assignment start date
• Timekeeping is managed through Kronos
