Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with ARRT registration and BLS certification for a 13-week assignment requiring cross-sectional anatomy or MRI experience.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department
• Schedule is Thursday and Friday 8:00 AM–8:30 PM and Saturday 7:30 AM–8:00 PM, with one day of call per week
• 40 hours per week
• May be required to work weekends and holidays based on departmental needs
• Charting in Cerner (experience preferred)
• May float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• ARRT registration required
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• Active SC or compact state license required (if applicable)
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Professionals program
• Cross-sectional anatomy or MRI experience preferred
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, lift/move patients, and carry or push/pull up to 50 lbs intermittently
• Must be able to work under stressful conditions, meet deadlines, and handle irregular hours
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform MRI procedures under the medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols
• Responsible for patient care and safety during imaging procedures, including age-appropriate care
• Assist radiologists with procedures as needed and provide clinical supervision and education to student MRI technologists
• Ensure correct orders, diagnoses, and clinical history are accurately entered into the system
• Instruct and prepare patients for imaging procedures; assist in obtaining informed consent as needed
• Responsible for safe operation of MRI and post-processing equipment, adhering to ALARA radiation safety principles
• Follows OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations
• Position involves exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, radiation, and potential blood-borne pathogens
• Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility must take a 30–60 day break after reaching one calendar year before returning to a new assignment
