Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week hospital-based outpatient rehab assignment, treating adult patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders on a 4x10 schedule.
Details
- Hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation clinic setting
- Caseload consists of adult patients presenting with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Proficiency with completing and interpreting outpatient Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) is preferred
- Works alongside a multidisciplinary team including OT and PT
- Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts, 8:00am to 6:00pm
Requirements
- Valid and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license (license required if applicable)
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience treating adults in an outpatient setting
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Conduct outpatient evaluations and treatment for adults with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) as part of dysphagia management
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of OT and PT practitioners
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
