Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Arizona, requiring a valid AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience with a willingness to float to MS/Tele.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 87 staffed beds, designated as a teaching facility and Level IV trauma center
• Assignment in the ICU with required floating to MS/Tele units based on staffing needs
• ICU patient ratio is 1:1-2; MS/Tele ratio is 1:4-5
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Charting via Cerner
• Standard MS/Tele equipment used throughout the units; Liko lifts available in nearly all patient rooms
• No on-call requirements
• Local candidates are accepted
• Blocked scheduling may be considered at unit manager's discretion

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact RN license required; candidates with a pending license may be considered
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ICU and/or PCU experience preferred; strong MS/Tele experience will also be considered
• Cerner EMR experience beneficial given charting system in use
• Must be open to floating between ICU and MS/Tele units as needed
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Traveler will work in a flex pool capacity, serving both ICU and MS/Tele units based on daily staffing needs
• Well-rounded candidates comfortable across acuity levels are strongly preferred
• Familiarity with BCMA (barcode medication administration) expected in accordance with facility patient safety standards
• Navy blue scrubs required
