Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pre-Op/PACU position requiring at least 1 year of experience, a valid SC or compact RN license, and the ability to fulfill on-call responsibilities for after-hours and weekend cases.

Details

• Pre-Op/PACU unit within a hospital setting
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts between Monday and Friday with alternating days off
• Pre-Op shift hours are 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Recovery shift hours are 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• On-call required for after-hours and weekend cases
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required; pending license will be considered provided it is obtained prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of PACU or Pre-Op RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Orientation includes pass/fail testing: a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and a Moderate Sedation Test are administered on the first day, with only one attempt allowed
