Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with vascular experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II Trauma, Level I Peds Trauma acute care hospital in Florida.
Details
- Work in a 4-room IR suite, with 3 biplane rooms (3 Siemens, 1 GE) in a 615-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma facility
- Wide variety of cases including stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy & thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations)
- Daily caseload of 20–30 cases per tech
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- On-call begins at 5:00 PM on weekdays, regardless of whether the tech is scheduled or off that day
- Every other weekend required, with 24-hour on-call coverage on both Saturday and Sunday when scheduled
- 24-hour on-call coverage required on recognized holidays, following the same expectations as weekend on-call
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required; no floating to sister facilities
- Cerner EMR (preferred)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of IR Tech experience; vascular experience required
- Experience with stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripheral upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, vascular studies, neurological studies, and stroke thrombectomy
- Proficiency with PACS, contrast administration, and biopsies required
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
- Florida state license required if applicable
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

- No RTO is permitted during the contract
- Scrubs must be black or navy
