Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OB experience, with night shift availability and certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and C-EFM.
Details
- 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients; staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Required to work in all areas of the LDRP unit, including OR circulating, triage, and couplet care
- Required skills include circulating and FHM triage; scrub experience is preferred
- Scrub tech skills preferred
- EMR: Epic
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to house as a sitter when needed; may also float to a sister facility approximately 27 miles away based on need and census
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Current certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
- AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D required
Additional Information
- RNs provide care across the full LDRP spectrum including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub, newborn care at delivery, and couplet care
- Nurses perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine; training for hearing screens will be provided
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Holiday coverage is required; any time-off requests during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing needs
- No time off (RTO) permitted during the first two weeks of the contract
