Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring prior travel experience and Level 1 trauma OR background.

Details

• 10-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
• 4 shifts per week
• Operating Room in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and high-volume cases
• Weekend coverage required — travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Holiday coverage required
• Call shifts required
• Block scheduling is not approved for this unit
• No on-call ratio or scheduled on-call responsibilities beyond call shifts

Requirements

• Active Georgia (GA) RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Level 1 trauma OR experience required, with a demonstrated background in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced OR cases in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe patient populations
• Strong OR skills checklist ratings required
• Burn OR experience preferred
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
