Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Adult) night shift position in Vermont, requiring at least 3 years of acute care experience and an active VT or compact RN license.

Details

• General Med/Surg unit in a 25-bed critical access hospital setting
• Patient population is primarily adults, with occasional pediatric patients
• Provides medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing bed care
• Night shift: 7pm–7am, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Schedule includes every other weekend
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required
• This is not a pediatric floor — candidates with pediatric-only experience will not be considered
• Flu shot required, no exceptions

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include coordinating comprehensive patient care using the Nursing Process to address medical, surgical, and observational needs
• Collaborates closely with a Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor throughout each shift
• Holistic care approach addressing patients' physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs
• All required credentials must be uploaded five business days prior to the start date
• Travelers begin their assignment on Wednesdays
