Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with PICU and children's hospital experience for a night shift travel assignment at a pediatric hospital in Indiana.
Details
- Pediatric hospital setting with assignments across PICU, NICU, and general Peds units
- Home unit (PICU, NICU, or Peds) will be determined upon arrival and may change based on facility need
- Floating between PICU, NICU, and Peds units is expected; floating to an affiliate hospital nearby may also occur
- Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend requirement
- Charting via Cerner (experience required)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Indiana state RT license required; IN temporary license accepted if permanent license application has also been submitted
- License required if applicable
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP
- PALS preferred
- Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
- Minimum 18 months–2 years of PICU experience required
- Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required
- NICU or PICU experience required
- Experience at a Level 1 adult facility may be considered
- AHA and RQI certifications accepted; must be current
- Cerner charting experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must be comfortable with and aware of the every other weekend requirement prior to submission
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted for Allied positions
- All travelers should expect to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility
