Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Colorado, covering antepartum through postpartum care including a Level 2 Nursery, with rotating day and night shifts.

• Hospital Labor & Delivery setting
• Patient population includes antepartum, laboring, recovery, and postpartum patients, as well as well newborns and Level 2 Nursery patients
• Responsibilities span L&D, nursery, and postpartum care
• Rotating shifts: days (0700–1900) or nights (1900–0700); travelers may be asked to work either shift
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or valid compact state RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 1 year of clinical L&D nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs

Additional Information

• Responsible for caring for patients through the full continuum of L&D including antepartum, labor and childbirth, recovery, postpartum, and lactation education and assistance
• Provides family-centered care including well newborn and Level 2 Nursery patients
• Collaborates with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrates competency in triage, medication administration, healthcare assessment, critical thinking, and delegation per Colorado statute
• Must be HIPAA compliant
