Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a circulating role in a multi-specialty surgical setting, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and an Iowa or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 4-room OR suite within a hospital setting
• Surgical specialties include Orthopedics, GYN, Urology, General Surgery, Cataracts, Pain Injections, ENT, and OB
• Average surgical volume of 5–10 patients per day
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• No regularly scheduled weekend shifts; on-call only on weekends
• Call rotation is required — every 3rd weekend; when assigned weekend call, only 1–2 weekday shifts that week; if no weekend call, call rotates through the week
• Altera (EMR) experience preferred

Requirements

• Active Iowa or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required; 3 years preferred
• Scrub and circulating experience required
• Ambulatory OR and general OR experience required
• Experience with ENT, Endoscopy, GYN, Podiatry, or Orthopedics is preferred

• Circulating responsibilities in a multi-specialty OR environment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
