Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardio/Neurovascular Med-Surg/Telemetry position requiring dysrhythmia and cardiac drip experience with night shift availability in Alabama.
Details
- 42-bed Cardio/Neurovascular Med-Surg/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- High-acuity patient population with cardiac and neurovascular cases
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Cardiac drip experience required, including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36 or 48 hours per week with block scheduling available
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Epic EMR in use
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AL RN license or compact license currently in hand and in good standing (no pending licensure)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 1–2 years of RN experience with a strong background in high-acuity patients
- Dysrhythmia experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
- Flu and COVID vaccinations required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff of this facility are ineligible to apply for 10 years following their departure
- RTO of 3–5 days preferred with a maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract
- Compliance documentation is due one week prior to the start date
- Scrub dress code: all navy, or navy bottoms with a white top
