Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Hospital setting with multiple facility locations across the region, ranging from Level 1 to Level 4 trauma centers
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit with experience required in chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
- Experience with vasoactive and cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban, with some titration required
- Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; an active IA RN license is also required (or proof of application for an IA single-state or compact RN license)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Hands-on experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines required
- Experience managing vasoactive and cardiac drip titration required
- One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required
- Driver's license required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must not have been employed by UnityPoint within the past 12 months
- Candidates must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates may be considered at some locations at a reduced rate
- Travelers are required to work 2 of the following 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
- RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week (11/26–11/30) and the winter holiday period (12/23–1/2), regardless of holidays worked
- Skills checklist must have been completed within 1 year of consideration
