Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of experience and proficiency with a range of specialized procedures and vasoactive drips.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Facilities in this health system span trauma Level 1 through Level 4 designations depending on location
• Hands-on experience required with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Vasoactive and critical drip management including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban with some titration
• Epic EMR used at this facility

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration; an IA RN license is also required (or proof of application for an IA single-state or compact RN license)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• Experience managing vasoactive drips with titration required
• Valid Driver's License required
• One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required
• Candidates must not have been employed by this health system within the past 12 months

• Candidates must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the assigned facility to qualify for standard travel rates
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Time off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving holiday week and the Christmas/New Year's holiday window
