Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS, and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Hospital setting across multiple facilities with varying trauma designations, including Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 trauma centers
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with patients requiring advanced monitoring and vasoactive drip management
• Experience with vasoactive and titrated drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; IA RN license also required (or proof of application for IA single-state or compact license)
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele RN experience required
• Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment or contract required for consideration
• Must not have been employed by UnityPoint within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for standard travel rates; local candidates in the Madison area may be accepted at a reduced rate
• Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday blackout windows
