Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of experience and proficiency with a broad range of critical drips and specialized procedures across multiple hospital trauma levels.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population requires management of chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Experience with vasoactive and critical drips required, including amiodarone, Cardizem, nitroglycerin, insulin, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, Isuprel, milrinone, and argatroban with some titration
• Facilities span multiple trauma designations: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 trauma centers depending on location
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; an IA RN license is also required, or proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both AHA) required and must be active — pending certifications will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Hands-on experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Candidates must not have been employed by UnityPoint within the last 12 months
• Candidates must have a taxable home address located more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay; local candidates in the Madison area may be considered at a reduced rate
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving holiday week and 1 day during the Christmas/New Year's holiday window
