Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in IR procedures, including neuro and body interventions, for an inpatient hospital setting.
Details
- Inpatient hospital interventional radiology unit serving primarily adult and geriatric patients, with some adolescent cases
- Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular and venous access studies, and neurological studies including stroke intervention
- Daily caseload of 13–17 cases
- Primary imaging equipment includes Siemens and Philips X-ray systems; Acuson preferred
- Epic and McKesson EMR experience preferred
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, with staggered start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM
- Call rotation includes primary and backup call shared among team members to provide round-the-clock coverage; primary call is approximately one weekday every 4 weeks and one weekend every 5th–6th weekend; backup call is approximately 7 days (including a weekend) every 9 weeks
- Weekends and evenings/nights covered through on-call rotation
- No float requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of IR Technologist experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Inpatient hospital experience required
- Required proficiency in neuro IR (including stroke intervention) and body IR procedures
- Experience with PACS and contrast administration required
- Experience with Siemens and Philips X-ray equipment required
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform a full range of IR procedures including neurovascular, body, and vascular interventions
- ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- Experience in outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma, teaching hospital, or community hospital settings preferred; ablation experience a plus
- Orientation is held during week one, and the traveler must be available for classes each day of that week
- RTO is not permitted after booking and cannot be arranged onsite; call-offs or additional time off may result in contract cancellation
- Local candidates are accepted
- Scrubs are provided
