Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a travel contract in Ventura County, CA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and active circulating skills in a trauma-capable hospital setting.

Details

• Operating Room (OR) unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Block scheduling is available
• Cerner EMR is in use at this facility
• Pyxis medication dispensing system is used on unit
• No on-call requirements unless the traveler is qualified and has completed trauma call orientation
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred

Requirements

• Active California (CA) RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or TCAR
• Circulating experience required
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time AYA travelers will not be considered for this position
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Level 1 Trauma experience is preferred but not required
