Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital in Florida, requiring Open Heart ICU experience and proficiency with advanced cardiac monitoring devices.

• CVICU unit within a 521-bed short-term acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Patients requiring open heart recovery care and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with Swans, IABP, Impella, and hemodynamic monitoring is central to this role
• Ventilator management is a routine part of patient care in this unit
• Charting performed in Epic
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Floating is required across all three system campuses (Martin North, South, and Tradition — all within approximately 20 miles)
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license (not pending) required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS must be current at time of consideration; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 1–2 years of Open Heart ICU experience required
• Ventilator management experience required
• Experience with Swans, IABP, Impella, and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Must be nicotine-free — a negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine (nicotine) is required; no exceptions
