Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift House Supervisor role at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), requiring a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in geriatric long-term care and proficiency with MatrixCare EMR.

- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting serving a geriatric and long-term care (LTC) resident population
- House Supervisor role overseeing all nursing personnel and functions on the assigned shift
- Night shift schedule: 11p–7a
- 6-week contract duration
- Position is designated as Rapid Response / Crisis urgency
Requirements
- Active PA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a geriatric LTC setting
- MatrixCare EMR experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout a campus-wide environment during the shift
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs to assist with resident lifts and transfers
- Ability to react quickly and decisively in emergencies or unexpected resident behavior situations
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Serves as Manager on Duty during evening and night shifts, assuming administrative oversight responsibilities
- Responsible for staffing management on shift, including addressing call-offs and redeploying scheduled staff as needed
- Oversees preparation of resident charts for physician visits and acts as liaison between residents, families, and attending physicians
- Reviews clinical records for accuracy and completeness; documents observations, assessments, and progress notes in the medical record
- Responsible for reporting severe issues, reportable events, resident/family concerns, and alleged abuse or neglect to administration in a timely manner
- Leads orientation of new nursing personnel on the assigned shift
- Responsible for implementing emergency and disaster response plans as needed
