Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer with MFM experience and RDMS (OB/GYN) certification for a 13-week outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine assignment.

Details

Outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinic setting
Imaging studies include detailed anatomical surveys, fetal echocardiograms, BPPs, fetal growth scans, umbilical artery Dopplers, transvaginal ultrasound, 1st trimester ultrasound, and amniocentesis ultrasound guidance
Complex scan volume is limited with a maximum of 10 scans per day
Equipment includes GE E10 and GE Expert 22 ultrasound systems
Charting in Epic and Viewpoint; Epic experience preferred
Reports directly to in-office MFM provider
Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, Friday 7:30–11:30 AM (half day)
No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of sonography experience, with MFM experience required
RDMS certification in OB/GYN required; fetal echo (FE) credential strongly preferred
Active BLS (AHA) required
Active ARDMS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted
Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

Perform detailed fetal anatomy surveys, fetal echocardiograms, and a full range of obstetric ultrasound studies in a specialized MFM outpatient environment
Dress code requires black pants and CommonSpirit-approved color top
Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
Candidates residing in certain states (AZ, NV, NE, IA, MN) must live at least 50 miles from the facility; candidates in CO, KS, or UT must live at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
