Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a NY RN license, at least 3 years of OR experience, and proficiency across a broad range of surgical specialties including ortho, neuro, vascular, and thoracic.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Primarily 10-hour evening shifts (1:00 PM – 11:30 PM), with flexibility to other shifts as departmental needs require
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts per week
• Call responsibilities are required
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Extensive surgical case mix including orthopedic/total joint, trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Additional procedures include bariatric, ENT, plastics, general surgery, and robotic surgery using the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required; pending licensure is not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of OR experience required
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties required, including ortho/total joint, trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic
• Phlebotomy and IV placement skills are mandatory competencies for this role
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

• RTO requests should be minimal; all time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
