Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring 2 years of OR experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital with 61 beds
• Assignment is in the Operating Room (OR) department
• Performs a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedic, general, GYN, podiatry, C-section, and endoscopy cases
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• On-call is required 1–2 days per week and 1–2 weekends per month
• Weekends are not regularly required
• No floating within the unit; however, travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state
• EMR: Epic (required)

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub color requirement: Navy for all RNs
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• Travelers who refuse to float between facilities within the state risk termination of assignment
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal RTO is expected for this position; requests should be disclosed upfront as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
