Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced IR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and experience in neuro and peripheral interventions.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
- Department includes 4 angiography suites (two single-plane and two biplane), 1 dedicated CT scanner, 1 multipurpose fluoroscopy suite for pain management, and advanced imaging technologies
- Procedures include vascular, neuro, and oncologic minimally invasive interventions
- Day shift schedule: 4x10s, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday with 1 rotating day off
- Weekend coverage may be required on a rotating basis
- On-call required: one primary call shift per week and one primary call weekend per month, with a 30-minute callback requirement
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Holiday call coverage required for one holiday per 13-week contract, in rotation with staff
Requirements
- Active Virginia state or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Experience in neuro and peripheral interventional radiology procedures required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration

- Position is based at a private, not-for-profit acute care teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center for both adult and pediatric patients
- The IR team emphasizes precision, reduced recovery times, and surgical alternatives through minimally invasive procedures
