Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Resource Pool position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience, on-call availability, and night shift coverage.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry Resource Float Pool position within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekends required on an as-needed basis
- On-call or additional shift coverage required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6-week period
- 4x12-hour shift scheduling may be accommodated upon request
- Floating required to other units across both campuses as needed to meet facility demands
- Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active SC or Compact RN license required prior to start date; pending license considered for initial review
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; 2 years preferred
- Must be able to pass a cardiac dysrhythmia and medication test on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- This is a resource float pool position and may involve floating between multiple units across two campuses
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requested after the initial submission will not be considered
- Fit testing is required on-site and shaving may be required to pass; failure to comply will result in fit test failure
- Attendance policy in effect: missing more than two shifts in a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review or cancellation
