Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel assignment in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and an OH or compact RN license.
Details
- Academic medical center Neuro ICU setting
- Day/night rotation schedule with shifts of 3x12 hours (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required, with rotation occurring every 4 weeks
- On-call is required
- Estimated patient ratio of 1:1–2
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Epic EMR; prior experience preferred
- Skills required include IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
- Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Proficiency with IV start, telemetry, ventilators, and intracranial pressure monitoring
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Additional Information
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
- All RTO/scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- No break between assignments is required to change representation at this facility (exception applies to Sterile Processing Techs, who require a 30-day break)
