Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Golden, CO, requiring at least 1 year of PACU experience and the ability to perform both pre-op and PACU duties.

Details

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in a hospital setting in Golden, CO
• Candidate must be able to perform both pre-op and PACU duties
• 13-week contract with 36 hours per week
• Schedule is 3x12-hour evening shifts
• Weekend shifts are required
• On-call requirement includes one weekend shift of call per week and 24 hours of weekend call per month
• Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
• Epic is used for charting

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — must not expire prior to the assignment start date
• ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in the pre-op and post-anesthesia settings
• Performs health teaching, counseling, and ongoing health data collection and assessment
• Executes delegated medical functions and refers patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Former permanent Intermountain employees must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
