Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel X-Ray Technologist for a night shift radiology position at a large acute care hospital in Morristown, NJ, requiring at least 18 months of experience and comfort working independently in an OR environment.

Details

• Large 900-bed acute care hospital radiology department
• Night shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM on a rotating 7-week schedule
• 3x13-hour shifts per week (39 hours per week)
• No on-call required
• Experience with GE imaging equipment utilized in this role
• Epic used for charting
• Must be comfortable performing imaging in the OR setting
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience as an X-Ray Technologist
• Graduate of an accredited radiography school
• Active NJ State RT License required if applicable
• Current ARRT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Must be able to work independently in a high-volume acute care setting
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
• Maintain imaging equipment and ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper procedure protocols
• Monitor for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging workflow
• Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment
