Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a fast-paced academic hospital IR department in Kansas City, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of IR and scrub experience.

Details

• Work in a high-volume Interventional Radiology department operating 7 procedure rooms with a siloed setup
• Handles approximately 60–65 cases per day, including all line placements for the entire hospital and outpatient services
• Cases are primarily neck-down with some light neuro overflow (e.g., thyroid biopsies)
• Equipment includes Siemens Artis icono, Artis Q, and Artis zee (single-plane; no biplane functionality)
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• On-call required as needed
• No weekend or holiday requirements; if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday, subsequent pay period will be adjusted accordingly
• May float to a secondary IR location (Cambridge IR)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of IR Tech experience with scrub experience required
• ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Kansas State license required if applicable
• New graduates will not be considered
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform interventional radiology procedures including vascular line placements, peripheral interventions, and light neuro overflow cases such as thyroid biopsies
• 3+ years of IR experience preferred, along with large hospital, peripheral, and neurovascular experience
• Orientation is held every Monday and Tuesday, with an additional nursing orientation component held Wednesday through Friday on a bi-weekly schedule
• This is a nicotine-free facility
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
